What Happened? posted on 09/07/2008

This had to be one of the worst opening games I have seen in a while for the Colts. Believe me I was really hoping we could make it back up and win our first game, but what were they thinking when they tried to run the ball at the one yard line!!! Thats what I think screwed us the most, after that I think our moral was down in the toilet. I mean come on we could do much better than that. I know we have a hard time with the run defense but Forte was running that field. I don't think I have been more annoyed and disappointed the Colts. We have the caliber team that we can go out there and dominate with field we just failed to do so this week. I hope our colts can do a 360 and come back from this very disappointing lost, and I absolutely hope this is not a showing of what is to come. I mean come on, we have a real good shot now that Brady is out for the season.

Reds management don't think before trading!!! posted on 09/05/2008

It's my opinion that the Reds don't think about what they are doing when they trade away a player. So far I have agreed with most of the trades they have done. Especially the Griffey trade. I know most Reds fans adore Ken Griffey, but I think it was a good idea at first, but when we finally got him he was injury prone and wasn't that great of a player. Yeah I know what your saying, he is a future hall of famer, but come on the money we were paying him could of got us a good pitcher and we all know that is what the Reds need to be sucessful!!! The one trade I didn't like was Josh Hamilton. He was an excellent player and got even better at the Rangers. If we kept him we could have been a little better than what we are now. Now I wasn't a big fan of Adam Dunn, but he was a decent player. Now the next year we would not be able to aford him, but I don't think we got anything good out of the deal. But now that we have gotten rid of Dunn and Griffey. I think the Reds can focus on more important thinks like pitchers. With our very young team I think we can have a good chance to go somewhere next year.

Why I think Brett Farve is an idiot. posted on 09/04/2008

Don't get me wrong I think Brett Farve is one of the best football players of all time. He is all about the game and doesn't care about the money. That is what football should be about. If Brett Farve was about the money he would have taken the 20 million dollar deal to stay retired. Think about it, if your boss told you to go home and retire and he was going to pay you to do it. There would be no question for me. But the ultimate reason I think Farve is an idiot is he is a Green Bay legend!!!! Now for his last year he is playing for the Jets. I mean come on, no one is going to remember this year in his hall of fame career. I know he still wanted to play but he should have thought about that before he retired officially. Now don't get me wrong he couldn't have guessed at the time he still wanted to play, but not everyone can be Michael Jordan. Farve is up on years and the older you get the worse off you are in football. Farve is an excellent player and his last season was a awesome thrill ride. But I think it is better to go out on top and be something to remember. I know that he hasn't played yet and there is no way I can say that he won't do good or go to the Super Bowl, but come on. I think the they are not going to go to the Super Bowl and next year the Jets will suck again.

AFC vs NFC posted on 09/04/2008

I think that the AFC is too loaded with power house teams that make it too one sided when it comes to the Super Bowl time. Don't get me wrong, I loved this last Super Bowl!!! I thought it was an edge-on-your-seat game and loved the ending. I am a long time Colts fan and seeing New England lose to anyone makes me happy!!! I goes as far to hate all teams from the Boston area. I follow mostly baseball and football and hate both the Patriots and the Red Soxs. But I am getting off track. The point I am trying to make is that I think we need to move either the Colts or the Patriots to the NFC. This way we could have our balls to the wall Super Bowl we crave to have. I mean I think that we mostly wait for the AFC playoffs and that is going to be the Super Bowl. You hear it all the time when its covered by most sports shows they call the AFC playoffs games pretty much the Super Bowl, and when we get to the Super Bowl it always a blow out. I mean its not like I'm not going to watch it but I think it would be more entertaining for all sports fans alike. I know what your all saying out there the Colts nor the Patriots will be able to be top dogs forever and I have thought about this too. I think another good alternative would be to mix up the teams every so many years, and I know what your saying. What about the rival games. Think about it. If rivals didn't play that often, wouldn't the game be just that more intense? I think that if we broke up our rival games they would be better in the long run. I know, I am a die hard Ohio State fan and seeing Ohio State and that state up north playing every year is great, but in the NFL sometimes I don't even know some of the teams have rivals. I mean come on Bengals and Browns that makes sense, its the battle of Ohio. Colts and Patriots, I mean they are two of the best teams in the NFL now so of course they are going to be rivals. But come on who is Seattle's rival. I don't follow that team and maybe there is a story behind their rival, but the big teams you know their rivals. Just making that game just more exciting. But thats just me. Well I think I am done ranting. I would love to hear from you all out there if you have something to add or comment about my blog, you all can e-mail me at nmagoteaux@gmail.com. Until my next blog, take care, and GO COLTS!!!!
